What We're Doing
Update on SCS Admissions Process and Outcomes
A session featuring an update on the SCS admissions process and outcomes is planned for the SCS-wide education meeting from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 13. We will cover: a high-level view of how applications are read; key themes we have raised to the Office of Undergraduate Admission and the provost to help them adjust their reading; and steps we're taking in the spring as the final admission set is determined.
Revising NSF BPC Plan for 2023
We will consult with BPCnet to refresh the NSF BPC plan template in use in SCS. We expect to have this completed early in 2023. If you have immediate needs for assistance in the meantime, email Jodi Forlizzi.
Announcements
Girls Who Code will have an Early Career Hiring Summit on Friday, Jan. 27, 2023, for people who are looking for their first jobs or have up to three years of experience. There will be up to 20 hiring partners in attendance. The event is free for job-seekers to attend, and there are adjacent professional development events to support it.
